The Europump 12 pump is mainly designed to manage drinking water in various vehicles such as vans and boats, ideal for supplying water points such as kitchen taps and showers. It offers a flow rate of 12.5 L/min and a pressure of 2.45 bar, suitable for installations with up to four water distribution points. In a marine context, it can also be used to pump seawater for applications like deck cleaning, although it is not suitable for transferring liquids other than water.
Installation of this water pump in a boat or van:
The electrical installation of the pump is simplified thanks to its automatic system. Simply connect it to the 12 V or 24 V circuit of your vehicle, depending on the model. Provide a 10 A fuse for the 12 V model and a 5 A fuse for the 24 V. It is crucial to include a switch to cut off the power supply to prevent the pump from running continuously if the tank is empty.
It is not necessary to install a tap with an integrated switch, allowing the freedom to choose any type of tap, shower, or shower head.
For plumbing, the pump comes with four different fittings suitable for various configurations. Choose the fitting that best matches your system, with options such as 1/2 inch threaded fittings or 14 mm outer diameter ribbed fittings for flexible hose. The use of Teflon or hose clamps is recommended to ensure the tightness of the connections.
A filter, supplied with the pump, must be installed upstream to protect the mechanism from impurities. This filter, equipped with an easily cleanable stainless steel mesh, is designed to withstand suction rather than outlet pressure.
