Surface preparer SIKA Primer 507

Since 1932, SIKA has been established in France and offers innovative solutions in many fields: industry, boating, automotive, concrete, roofing, repair, joints, and bonding. With over 1200 employees, the French subsidiary relies on recognized expertise.

The SIKA Primer 507 is a surface preparer designed to improve the adhesion of adhesives on a wide variety of substrates. To be applied on a clean, dry surface free of dust and grease, it is suitable for metals (vehicle bodywork), glass (windshield), painted surfaces, as well as plastics.

This new generation primer replaces the SIKA Primer 207, while complying with current standards thanks to a composition containing less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and not requiring REACH safety training.

Application of SIKA Primer 507

• Shake the bottle well until you hear the metal ball, then continue shaking for one minute.

• Then apply a thin layer using a brush. One application is sufficient.

• Recommended temperature: between 15 and 25 °C.

• Average yield: 50 mL per m².

The removable butyl sealant SIKA SikaLastomer 831 E is the ideal solution to guarantee perfect waterproofing on the roof of your Motorhome, Campervan, or converted van. This roll sealant is easy to use and particularly effective for installations requiring easy dismantling.

It is perfectly suitable for installing skylights, air conditioners, roof vents, or any other screwed or riveted roof accessory requiring perfect waterproofing.

🔧A simple to apply and remove butyl sealant

• Available in rolls of 12 to 25 meters and thicknesses of 1.5 mm or 3 mm, the SikaLastomer 831 E sealant can be applied without special tools. A simple press between the two surfaces is enough to ensure durable waterproofing, thanks to the high elasticity of the butyl.
• This sealant does not stick permanently : it remains flexible but dry to the touch, allowing you to dismantle your equipment without damaging surfaces. Simply clean the residue with a knife and disposable paper to keep the surface clean and free of marks.

Compatibility with all materials

Formulated with polyisobutylene (butyl), this sealant is compatible with a wide variety of materials: metal, plastic, aluminum, polyester, etc. It resists weather, vibrations, and temperature variations, making it a product perfectly suited for leisure vehicles.
