The Panorama LED Skylight 50 x 70 GREY is a skylight that fits perfectly on motorhomes, caravans, as well as on the flat surface of panel vans.

Technical specifications:

  • Cut-out dimensions: 50 x 70 cm
  • Inner frame dimensions: 80 x 60 cm
  • Double acrylic glazing 43-R
    • E-Mark - compatible with approval in Europe, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
  • Suitable for most camper vans and roofs with a thickness of 25 to 75 mm (extendable)
  • Light grey tinted glazing (light transmission 80%)
  • Model including LED frame with blackout blind and mosquito net
  • Model including permanent ventilation: permanent ventilation area 150 cm² (for VASP approval - certificate available)
  • Opening with aluminum lifting bar
  • System with two gas struts prevents any sudden closure to protect the glazing.

 

Installation advice:

  • Installation on vans not requiring an adaptation frame (compatible with flat and curved panel walls)
  • Possible to install on walls thicker than 75mm using longer screws and a finishing trim
    • Average installation time: 45 minutes
    • Recommended installation with Sikaflex 552AT (alone or in a pack Sika Skylights for a watertight and durable installation on corrugated wall ceilings)
  • Product delivered with an assembly manual and detailed step-by-step installation tutorial

Usage advice:

  • To ventilate your vehicle, you can lock the skylight in the intermediate ventilation position. Three possible levels of movement:

    • Closed: Forced ventilation of 150cm² (depending on the chosen model - recommended to maintain slight continuous air circulation and thus avoid mold problems in vehicles)

    • 5°: Maximum speed: 130 km/h

    • 55°: Maximum speed: 60 km/h

Are the windows compatible with camper vans?

Yes, the windows are compatible with all types of camper vans (with curved walls) and motorhomes (with flat walls). The vehicle’s curvature is compensated by the aluminium inner counter-frame, which adapts to the shape of the vehicle during installation (as shown in the supplied installation tutorial).

What does the frame refer to?

There is the structural fixing counter-frame, which is supplied with all windows.

There is also the finishing inner counter-frame (with blackout blind and mosquito net), which is available as an option on certain models.

What is the required cut-out size?

For all windows and roof vents, the stated dimensions correspond to the cut-out size in the vehicle wall.

For example, a 700x400 window requires a 700 mm x 400 mm opening.

The external window dimension is 3 cm larger (730x430 mm), and the external dimensions of the finishing inner frame (with blackout blind and mosquito net) are 8 cm larger (780x480 mm) compared to the cut-out size.

What is the difference between SHADE, SQUARE, LIGHT, SLIDE and SLIDE LIGHT windows?

The difference is mainly aesthetic.

The SHADE, SQUARE and LIGHT windows are all awning (top-hinged) windows.

SHADE and SQUARE feature tinted glazing (10% light transmission), while LIGHT features light grey glazing.

The frame shape also differs: SHADE and LIGHT have rounded corners, whereas SQUARE has rectangular edges.

All windows are compatible with vans.

Finally, the difference between SLIDE and SLIDE LIGHT is that SLIDE features tinted glazing (10% light transmission), while SLIDE LIGHT features light grey glazing.

Is it easier to install a window with rectangular edges?

The installation procedure for rectangular-edge windows (awning or sliding) is exactly the same as for rounded-edge windows.
